(1) Weight = Stability - The treadmill weight is very important to the overall stability or the machine. The heavier the treadmill the more solid the feel. (2) Deck Composition
- The Smooth 9.1 utilizes a 1" thick SOLID wood deck, triple laminated
with a phenolic resin to produce a lasting reversible non-warping surface.
The pacemaster treadmill uses a 3/4" thick medium density fiberboard
and is non-reversible. (3) Factory Direct Sales - The Smooth 9.1 is sold factory direct. PaceMaster sells all of their treadmills through dealers and retailers. If you purchase from a local dealer you are charged state taxes. The Smooth 9.1 was chosen for comparison because of the similarity in features with the PaceMaster ProSelect.
